Sled Dog Blogs is a place for people who are passionate about sled dogs to share their thoughts, feelings, experiences, and anything else that is appropriate for a work and family friendly Web site!
Collectively, we reject the notion that sled dogs are simply mechanical, interchangeable cogs in a machine that delivers a load or people over long or short distances for glory or money. Instead, we believe that sled dogs are valuable team members with us humans in dog-powered work or sport. As team members, we strongly believe that sled dogs deserve

- A healthy and stable environment in which to grow and thrive
- A safe, warm place to live
- Good veterinary care
- Good, healthy food appropriate for the work they do
- To live out their natural lives in comfort, even after retiring
We’re not PETA or other extremist groups, who may have good intentions but go overboard. We simply believe that sled dogs are our partners and team members. And fun to have around!
Initially, all of our bloggers are here by invitation only. We want to grow the site and participation over time, but for right now we want to grow slowly and carefully, building up valuable content. Once we get through our initial birthing pains and initial growth spurt, we’ll look to open up to more people who want to write about sled dogs.
